However, this function can help you to locate the deleted text messages faster so that you can recover deleted iPhone text messages from iCloud quicker. How to Transfer Photos from Old iPhone to iPhone 5

If you switch from an old iPhone to the new iPhone 5, you probably need to move all your photos as well. With iCloud, things are pretty easy, but then that's not the only way.

There are about three ways that you can transfer pictures from your old iPhone to the new one. Some of these are cloud-based solutions - the safe way - and the other is a simple and old method that you are quite familiar with.
Transfer photos from old iPhone to iPhone 5

1. icloud

Thanks to the iCloud phenomenon, most people synchronize your data with your iCloud account and this makes it easy to access all data at all times. And it's pretty much how most users have downloaded data from your old iPhone to the new, iPhone 5.

Do this:

First sync all data from your old iPhone to iCloud
Go to Settings -> iCloud -> Storage & Backup -> Backup Now
When you set up the new iPhone 5, use the same email address that you use for your iCloud during configuration (use Reset from iCloud Backup)
All data is automatically synced, and this includes images as well. This will take a long time depending on the amount of data.
We will also investigate other ways that you can transfer your photos. These methods may be useful when you can not use iCloud for data transfer (or when you used your iCloud limits).

2. iTunes

ITunes is still the best backup tool for your iPhone. Of course, with iCloud, most users experienced the cloud phenomenon, but there is nothing as fixed as a good backup and earlier local synchronization.
You can use iTunes to back up your old iPhone tasks - including photos - and then sync it with the new device to get them on your new iPhone.

Do this:

Connect your iPhone and open iTunes
In the sidebar, select old iPhone on the Devices tab
Select photos and sync
Now, disconnect old iPhone and connect your iPhone 5
Select the device and sync again with the options
All the old photos that have been synced to your local folders should be on your iPhone 5 now

3. Dropbox / Sugarsync

Dropbox (or Sugarsync for that matter) works the same as iCloud does. It is a cloud storage. My guess is that Dropbox / Box.net / Sugarsync is useful when you run out of space in iCloud.
Dropbox, Box.net and Sugarsync come with free programs. All you need to do is:
Create an account with Dropbox / Box.net or Sugarsync
Sync photos to your account via the app (from your old iPhone)
Download and install the program on your new iPhone (or just set it to iCloud and the program will be installed automatically)
Sync photos to your account via the app on your new iPhone 5

Pros and Cons of iOS 11

Pros and Cons of iOS 11
Apple has announced the preview of its latest operating system, iOS 11 on June 5 at WWDC 2017. The company added several improvements and therefore has every right to stay excited and keep showing off their Android fans about it. Meanwhile, IOS 11 also has some drawbacks. If you are curious to know what they are, do not worry. Here in this post, we will list the pros and cons of iOS 11.

Pros and cons of iOS 11

Pros

Improved Siri
Siri in iOS 11 takes careful speech to a completely different level. Next Siri will help you in a much better way because it will be very smart thanks to the integration of machine learning and artificial Apple intelligence to this. There is also a new translation feature in Siri that will allow you to translate to other languages.

Increased Reality
If iOS 11 and 10 were friends, the latter certainly zealous at first for this function. Yes, the next iOS 11 comes with Arkin, a framework that will allow developers to get into the virtual reality experience on iDevices.

Better camera and photos
IOS devices are also known for their ability to capture photos. There are photographers who used iPhones to capture photos of an entire wedding. Such is the greatness of the iOS camera. This time in iOS 11, the company improved the camera addition of new professional and quality filters that make the photos more impressive. 11 IOS can edit the photos in vivo to increase creativity and including loop, rewind and long exposure.

Apple Pay
Payments will be much easier than ever on iOS devices because Apple has improved on Apple's iOS 11 Payments to be integrated with services like messaging to make it easier for users to send and receive money directly from their friends through messages. This will be very easy because you have to use fingerprints for authentication.

Messaging
In addition to Apple Pay integration, Messaging also syncs your messages to iCloud. A year later when the phone is upgraded to iOS 11 you will be very happy to switch between devices because they do not have to worry about the messages.

Custom Control Center
Shortcuts are also getting an update and allow you to easily access the tools. Unlike iOS 10 in that the options spread over 3 screens, iOS 11 has all included in a single screen. On the other hand, Android has already won people's hearts to improve their control center and may be one of the reasons why Apple has been enriched in this regard.

Advanced IPad
Using an iPad will be very impressive when running on iOS 11 because there are plenty of features that will enhance the work and gaming experience. Using the new dock, you can switch between applications easily with the new options file, you can find all the files in one place. With drag-and-drop, multitasking experience will be more efficient.

Lockscreen
The lock screen and notifications will be good friends on iOS 11. This means that you can see all the notifications of the lock screen without losing anything. You can also select Do Not Disturb mode to make sure they do not receive a notification while driving or busy.

Brand store
The app store will have a new image on IOS 11 and it will be easier to see applications with guides to games, applications and other popular applications.

Automatic removal of applications
IOS 10 made many happy users able to delete pre-loaded applications. IOS 11 things are going much better than that. Apps that are useless will automatically be deleted to save space. However, the settings and data will not be lost, so when you install the application later, everything will be the way it really was.

Apple music
After upgrading to iOS 11 Apple music users can browse their new playlists and songs to check what their friends are playing. You can choose to display your songs and playlists that you want to edit them in public. The private option is also available for private individuals.

Apple Maps
Maps apps are also getting an update. Users will have the 3D function to view places with a better experience and navigate to places. The update also features outside lines. You will also have information on where to go as well as orientation warnings and speed limits.

Screen recording
IOS 11 make the screen recording easy. The old way of recording is to connect the device to a Mac desktop/laptop with QuickTime for screen recording. In the latest operating system, a new feature called Screen Recorder with which you can record from the control center. IOS recording is just a few touches and clicks away now.

Hand keyboard
Many were dissatisfied with the larger iPhones for a reason and were writing. IOS 11 is to make people happy by introducing keyboard with one hand. You can also easily switch between the standard keyboard and the keyboard with one hand.

Battery Management
The word in the City is that the latest iOS optimize battery usage to provide users with a lasting experience. However, it is still too early to comment on this as only the previous version has been released so far and the stable version will be released months later. By the time you read this post, the stable version could be posted. If so, share your experience in the comments section below.

Cons

It only supports 64-bit applications
While 64-bit support applications is a good thing, since it will enhance the user experience, there are applications that are still running on 32-bit versions. If all the applications you use most often do not have a 64-bit version, we recommend you upgrade to iOS 11 and continue to use older versions of iOS.

New App Store
Because the new look of the app store will be easier to find the most popular applications, but finding the less popular applications will be difficult. And about the less popular applications is that some of them could be more useful, even though they are less popular.

Not compatible with older iPhones
The iOS 10 support starts with the iPhone 5 and, surprisingly, the company stopped supporting IOS 11 for devices like the iPhone 5, 5c and 4. Gen cases.

Let us know your opinions in the comments section below. We would love to hear from you.

6 Useful Tips to Extend Your iPhone Battery Life

6 Useful Tips to Extend Your iPhone Battery Life
Low battery life for the iPhone can cause a wide range of problems. However, it is possible to do more than one full battery charge using integrated applications and features in the right way. Here are six helpful tips to extend the battery life of iPhone:

App update

The iPhone features a smart update feature applications that run in the background. This application detects the programs used most frequently and ensure that they are constantly updated with the latest version. If you use many different daily applications, this may mean that the iPhone is doing a lot of work when it really should be sleeping. By preventing the application from updating in the background, you can easily extend battery life.

Using Auto Brightness

The auto-brightness option is the lower power option to control the screen brightness. The iPhone also has an ambient light sensor that sits in the background and adjusts the brightness as needed to match the situation. However, let this type of application or similar feature running constantly in the background life quickly drain the battery.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth constantly quit soon begin to use up the battery life. If it is not likely to be used for several days, you can also turn it off.

Location Services

The iPhone has built-in GPS which is handy for giving directions, finding a restaurant or other uses of the map. Many people rarely use location services, so you can benefit by turning this feature off to help conserve battery power.

Update apps automatically

Most downloaded applications are designed to automatically update when the most recent version is published. If you have many applications that are not used, it can often be more convenient to disable this feature and manually update the most commonly used applications.

Operating mode

There is no need to fully drain battery life before the next charge. It can benefit to prevent lithium ions from reaching 0%. The preferred option is to keep the battery at about 50% or more. Once the battery life drops below this mark, you may want to give it a recharge. However, there is no need to complete a full daily recharge. Constantly charging the battery at 100% long term start to shorten its life. The best option is to keep the lithium-ion battery charged with about 40% to 80% battery for best long-term performance.

Tablet Vs iPod - Which Suits You Best?

Tablet Vs iPod
Technological advances have been given to a variety of gadgets. Today you can buy from a number of smartphones, MP3 players, iPods, and tablets. The possibilities are endless. If you are in a dilemma and have no idea if you should go for an iPod or tablet, we can help you. All you have to do is know the difference between the two devices. Let us help you.

Brand Vs Type

iPod is a brand. Simply put, the term refers to the series of a product manufactured by a particular manufacturer. The term tablet, on the other hand, refers to a device manufactured by one of several device manufacturers. A tablet is a type of computer and many manufacturers of tablet PCs exist, such as Apple, Sony, and Google.

size

An iPod is a small device. However, a tablet is a relatively larger device. Usually, tablets resemble a book and are used primarily for reading purposes. You can not keep a tablet in hand comfortable because they are bigger and heavier. On the other hand, an iPod is as big as a medium smartphone. You can carry an iPod in your hand anywhere.

Operating systems

All devices of the series iPod with iOS (a mobile operating system developed by Apple). All iPods have a preinstalled iOS operating system. Regarding the Apple made tablets, you will not find an Apple tablet that runs an operating system developed by a third party. But tablets from other manufacturers work with Android operating systems. So, if you like Android operating systems, you can go for a tablet that runs the desired version of Android OS.

Flash

Adobe Flash, often abbreviated as Flash is a multimedia platform that lets you transfer audio, video, and other media types. Unfortunately, Apple devices, including iPod series devices do not allow you to install Flash. On the other hand, almost all the tablets produced by other manufacturers provide flash support. So, if you are playing videos that run on Flash, you should go for a table that supports this application.

multitasking

You can multitask if you have an iPod or tablet. However, multitasking is different on both devices. For example, if you have multiple programs running on an iPod, the first application is pending while you use the second application. However, some applications, such as iTunes, can continue to operate in the background. However, this can not be true for all other applications you want to work with. If you have an Android tablet OS, the applications will run in the background and you can use any application you want.

Conclusion

So these are some important differences between the two devices. I hope now you can easily choose a gadget that suits you best. Just make sure you go for the one that suits your needs.

iPhone Vs Android - Should You Get an iPhone or an Android Phone?

Iphone vs Android
While there are many companies competing for smartphone supremacy, at the moment the two titans going to head for dominance of the consumer smartphone arena. With apologies to Blackberry, Windows Phone 7, and Palm OS, Google Android and Apple iOS are the two best mobile device operating systems right now.

Now that Verizon is officially getting the iPhone, there have been a lot more questions on differents forum about which phone is better or best, the iPhone or the high end Android phones.

That's a little more difficult question to answer as they both have unique advantages so I thought I'd compose this article to address some of the advantages and disadvantages offered by each mobile operating system.

Choices - Advantage Android

If you're looking for a lot of different choices, then it's Android all the way. With the iPhone, you have two choices, this year's model and last year's model. Every year Apple releases one new phone. It seems like there is a new Android phone coming out every few days - there are over 100 Android powered phones and that number is continuing to grow. Android can be found in low-cost phones that are free with two-year contract and $250 with a two-year contract. You can get a variety of screen sizes and pick any carrier you want.

Apps - Advantage iPhone

If you want the biggest selection of apps, then the Apple App Store has the advantage by about 200,000 apps. The Android Market isn't a slouch by any means, as it does have over 100,000 apps, it just has less. Most developers develop for the Apple App Store first because people are more accustomed to paying for apps on the iPhone than they are on Android. The biggest difference is in games - quite simply, there are far better games available for the iPhone than on Android at the moment.

Cell Phone Carrier - Advantage Android

Now that the iPhone is available on two carriers in the U.S. you're not stuck with AT&T which is a good thing for many people as AT&T has had more than its share of network problems over the years with the iPhone. However, the iPhone still isn't available for Sprint or TMobile which both offer lowest cost plans than Verizon and AT&T so the advantage here goes to Android.

Adobe Flash (i.e. Most Videos) - Advantage Android

When it comes to watching videos on your iPhone, you can watch some and many YouTube videos. However, plenty of videos are found elsewhere and they all use Adobe Flash. Also, many online games use Flash as well so if you enjoy playing them, you'll probably have some difficulty. Android Phones (that have Android 2.2 or later) support Flash which means you can access all these videos and games using your phone. There is a workaround app on the iPhone called Skyfire that will work for some of these cases, but it's not nearly as nice as the phone being able to support it and it certainly doesn't "just work" as Apple has tried to make their devices do.

Ease Of Use - Advantage iPhone

You probably don't want to get a degree in engineering to use your phone. While Android is relatively easy to use, it's still not nearly as intuitive as the iPhone. The iPhone has a simple elegance to it. Android-powered smartphones tend to appeal more to the tech savvy crowd. Again, this is a matter of preference. Just like with computers, some people like Windows and some people like Mac OS. Go to the store and play with both for a little bit and see which one appeals to you more but if you hate computers and barely know how to turn one on, stick with the iPhone as it is simpler.

Conclusion - Up To You

While I could make a case that either is better, ultimately it is going to depend on what you want. Me personally, I like my Android phone but I've played with plenty of iPhones and have found them fun and easy to use too. Get whichever one you like best.

Super Mario Run launches on the iPhone and iPad

Super Mario run
The app marks the first time the firm has
created a smartphone game based on its most
famous character.

It follows the successful release of Pokemon Go
earlier in the year. Nintendo owns a minority
stake in the Pokemon Company, but the title was
developed by a third party.
Experts predict the new game will also prove
popular, but suggest an anti-piracy feature is
misguided.

"Mario is one of the best loved and established
icons of gaming and I think this is going to be
tremendously successful," said Piers Harding-
Rolls from the IHS Technology consultancy.
"To open up the full game you have to make an
in-app purchase - it's quite big but it is a one-
off and I don't think people will think Nintendo is
trying to rinse their audience."
But he added that he thought it was a "misstep"
to require users to be online in order to play -
something the game's producer Shigeru Miyamoto
has said was done to limit piracy .
"Some demographics will be wanting to use this
as they commute and we know that the coverage
in some markets is relatively patchy," said Mr
Harding-Rolls.
"Not having offline capability to play will also be
an issue for kids travelling in cars."
Build to unlock
Super Mario Run takes the Super Mario Bros
format - where the character sprints from left
to right, collecting coins, jumping over obstacles
and squishing enemies - and tweaks the gameplay
to make it easy to play one-handed on a
touchscreen.
The free version acts as a brief demo, but paying
a £7.99 fee offers full access to three modes:
World Tour - a story mode spanning six
worlds, which Mario must travel across to
save Princess Peach
Toad Rally - a multiplayer mode, in which
players compete to show off challenging
moves and collect coins to get the highest
score
Kingdom Builder - a creation mode, where
players use the coins they have earned
elsewhere to add buildings and decorations,
some of which unlock bonus characters and
other extra content
For now the title is restricted to Apple's iOS
platform, but Nintendo has said it will come to
Android "at some point in the future".
Nintendo had initially shunned smartphones,
preferring to focus on its own hardware.
However, weak sales of its Wii U console and a
decline in demand for its 3DS handheld caused the
firm to sustain large financial losses, putting it
under pressure to change tack.

It launched its first smartphone game, Miitomo,
in March to mixed reviews but strong demand .
Then in July, the release of Pokemon Go became a
global phenomenon, lifting Nintendo's share price
despite the fact it only received a relatively small
cut of all sales.

But last month, the firm revealed that two
subsequent Pokemon games released for the 3DS
- Sun and Moon - had become the fastest-selling
titles in its history in Europe and the Americas.
Mr Harding-Rolls said Nintendo would be hoping
for a similar knock-on effect when it launches
its new console, the Switch, in March for which it
is developing a new 3D Mario title .

"By launching this smart device game, Nintendo
is opening Mario up to people who might be
attracted by a sense of nostalgia as well as
introducing a new generation of gamers to the
brand.

"And that's bound to have a halo impact on its
other products."

Nintendo's domestic rival Sony is also making a
fresh efforts to create iOS and Android games
based on its PlayStation brands.

On Monday, it revealed a new Parappa the Rapper
title and an Everybody's Golf game were being
developed by its ForwardWorks studio.

Samsung vs iPhone 7 Samsung's desire to match the iPhone 7 Plus led it to implement an aggressive design and manufacturing approach that led to problems with its Galaxy Note7 -- including some instances of the smartphones bursting into flames -- and eventually its global recall, Instrumental reported last week.

Instrumental engineers tore down a Galaxy Note7, and found "evidence in the design of an intellectual tension between safety and pushing the boundaries,"
CEO Anna Shedletsky revealed.

Samsung engineers
"designed out all of the margin in the thickness of the battery," she noted.

It "sits within a CNC-machined pocket -- a costly choice likely made to protect it from being poked by other internal components," Shedletsky speculated. "For something that is innovative and new, you design the best tests that you can think of, and validate that the design is OK through that testing," she said.

However, battery testing
"takes a notoriously long time, and thousands of batteries need to be tested to get significant results," Shedletsky pointed out.
"It's possible that Samsung's innovative battery manufacturing process was changing throughout development, and that the newest versions of the batteries weren't tested with he same rigor as the first samples.

" If the Note7 had not been recalled, "a few years down the road these phones would be slowly pushed apart by mechanical battery swell," she added.

A rule of thumb is to leave 10 percent of thedepth of the battery pocket as a ceiling above the battery to allow for that expansion, but
"our two-month-old unit had no ceiling," said Shedletsky, and "since it breaks such a basic rule, it must have been intentional."

The Long Road to Adequate Testing It's "impossible to test for everything," said Jim McGregor, principal analyst at Tirias Research. "You have to consider not only testing the battery but also testing applications and the phone," he told TechNewsWorld.

Considering how many versions of the Galaxy smartphone Samsung has released and the number of units produced,
"this is like comparing the Galaxy Note7 problem to air travel," McGregor remarked. "While crashes make the headlines, air travel is still one of the safest forms of transportation."

Considering the Bigger Picture Limitations in battery technology and increasing demands for new displays, wireless interconnects, sensors and processors in ever-shrinking sizes, the industry is "pushing these technologies to the breaking point," McGregor said.

That will be a problem for all handsets and for wearables in the future, he predicted.

The IEEE has "known for some time that there were several fundamental limiting factors to personal electronics," observed Michael Jude, a program manager at Stratecast/Frost & Sullivan.

They include "power dissipation, power consumption, and power density -- how much juice you can store in a small package," he told TechNewsWorld.

Battery technology is tricky, Jude said. "A battery is really a controlled chemical explosion.

You can have a little power over a long period of time or a lot all at once. Smartphone designers walk a fine line between power consumption and battery storage density."

Competition Can Kill

A smaller battery using standard manufacturing parameters would have solved the swelling and explosion issues, but that
"would have reduced the system's battery life below the level of ... the iPhone 7 Plus," Shedletsky noted. "Either way, it's now clear to us that there was no competitive salvageable design."
Various iPhone models had battery problems, but they were "all fixed with a replacement battery," said Rob Enderle, principal analyst at the Enderle Group.

The Galaxy Note7's problems
"showcase a failure in design testing that likely resulted from a rush to get it to market to better offset the then- coming iPhone 7 Plus," he told TechNewsWorld.
The problem "should have been identified in testing long before it got to QC post-manufacturing," Enderle pointed out, but "unless a test was specifically designed to highlight this problem, QC might not catch it anyway."

How to identify fake battery and charger

How to spot fake batteries and chargers?
Mobile phone handsets are not the only electronic
product targeted by counterfeiters. Black market
cell phone batteries and chargers are also
infiltrating the market posing a potential health
and safety risk to consumers.
Fake batteries and chargers are often offered as
an after-market product, found on auction
websites or in unregistered stores often at a
significantly lower price than genuine products.
Given the uniform appearance of most mobile
phone batteries and chargers, it can be difficult
to identify what products are fake and which are
genuine.
Here are a few simple tips to help you identify
whether a battery and charger is genuine or
fake:
Buy from a registered manufacturer and trusted
retailer
You should only buy mobile phone accessories
made by a trusted manufacturer.
If you are looking to replace a battery or charger
then you should refer to the original
manufacturer’s information to make sure you
purchase the appropriate battery or charger for
your model of phone. It is important to note that
you should only use a charger specified by the
manufacturer to charge you mobile phone
battery.
You should also attempt to buy your mobile phone
accessories from a trusted retailer who can
verify the authenticity of their products.
Appearance
Most mobile phone batteries and chargers look
very similar, making it difficult to identify
legitimate and fake products.
If you are able to inspect the product first-hand
then you should look for signs of poor quality
such as: inaccurate printing, misspelled wording,
crooked label placement and signs of defective
workmanship.
Some mobile phone manufacturers also place
hologram stickers on their batteries, which are
difficult to replicate by counterfeiters - although
they do try.
Warranty
All genuine mobile phone manufacturers offer a
limited warranty that covers the handset,
software and accessories.
Most genuine accessories are covered for a
certain period of time from the date of purchase
by the original owner.
Registered manufacturers and sellers also offer
customer support and servicing of damaged
products.
Black market batteries and chargers rarely come
with a warranty or offer customer support and
servicing of damaged products.
It is important to keep the receipt for any mobile
phone accessory you purchase so that you can
make a warranty claim if the product is faulty.
It is also beneficial to keep all proof of purchase
in case you have bought a fake so that you can
notify the relevant authorities.
Price
If the price sounds too good to be true then it
probably is.
Counterfeit mobile phone batteries and chargers
are made from cheap substandard components
allowing them to be produced at a fraction of the
price of genuine products.
Also, counterfeiters don’t have to invest in
product research, design and safety testing.
They don’t pay government taxes, import fees
and are not bound by fair trade or minimum wage
regulations for their employees.
All these factors mean fakes can be sold at a
much lower price than a genuine product.

Israeli Hacking Firm Said to Be Behind Groundbreaking iOS Malware

Apple has rushed out a patch for its
mobile operating system, iOS, after
malware—reportedly developed by an
Israeli firm that sells spying software
to governments—was able to remotely
surveil an up-to-date iPhone 6.
The attack attempts to encourage
users to open a URL via text message.
When that link is followed, the attack
uses three individual zero-day flaws
to leverage a weakness in Safari’s browser
engine, which enables access to the
operating system’s kernel and installation of
malware to effectively jailbreak the iPhone.

From that point on, the malware can be used
to spy on virtually every aspect of the
phone’s use, from phone calls and text
messages to calendar data and video feeds.
This appears to be the first known example
of hackers having the ability to remotely
jailbreak an iPhone 6, and Motherboard
claims that it’s the first iPhone attack of this
kind. The vulnerability was identified by
researchers at the University of Toronto's
Citizen Lab after Ahmed Mansoor, a human
rights activist and United Arab Emirates
dissident, was targeted using the attack.
The Citizen Lab team claims that the malware
was developed by the Israeli firm NSO Group,
which creates spy software for governments.
It’s no secret that NSO makes software
capable of surveilling smartphones: in 2014,
the Wall Street Journal reported that an NSO
slide claimed to provide technology that
“allows remote and stealth monitoring and
full data extraction from remote devices via
untraceable commands.” It’s currently
unclear who exactly used the malware to
target Mansoor.
Reuters suggests that such a piece of
software, able to spy on an up-to-date iPhone
6, could retail for as much as $1 million.
Citizen Lab researchers informed Apple of the
vulnerability over a week ago, and the
iPhone maker has released a patch for
devices running iOS 9. Apple claims devices
running up-to-date beta versions of iOS 10
are unaffected.
Apple recently announced a bug-bounty
program, which will see it pay out up to
$200,000 for (invited) hackers who manage to
identify the kinds of flaws leveraged by this
malware. Perhaps it should’ve started sooner.
