SJCAM SJDASH dash cam review

SJCAM has become one of the biggest players in the action camera market thanks to devices like the SJ5000X Elite and SJ6 Legend. And now it's come up with a product targeting a different audience.
The SJDASH is SJCAM's first dash cam and, just like the other devices in the company's range, it is designed to appeal to consumers looking for a good balance between quality and price. Question is, how does it perform? I've tested it to find out.
What's in the box?
The SJDASH comes with everything you need to set it up in your car. The package includes the camera, a windshield mount, a long USB cable and a charger with two USB ports -- one to connect the dash cam and the other so you can, for instance, charge your smartphone. However, there are no clips provided so you can route the cable along the edges of the windshield.
Design and ease of use
Even though this is only SJCAM's first dash cam, it is well thought out. It powers on automatically and starts recording right away. So, when you plug it in, you are ready to go without having to worry about pressing any buttons.
It has a 3.0-inch display on the back so you can see what the SJDASH is recording, how the videos are framed and access the settings menu. To control it, you have four capacitive buttons below the screen and a power button on the side.
The menu should feel familiar to those who have used SJCAM devices before, but it is also easy to follow for new users as well. There is not a whole lot that needs to be changed out of the box, save, perhaps, for the option to record audio from inside the car.
As I have said in previous dash cam reviews, this is something that I prefer to be disabled. However, it can come in handy if you get into an argument with a fellow driver or a pedestrian or want to record a conversation with the police.
SJCAM SJDASH back display
Because it uses a USB connection, you can, if you want, power it from an external battery when you need to record something outside of your car. It is not designed to be used in such a way, but it will work fine as long as you power it from a 5V 2A source.
The SJDASH has Wi-Fi so you can connect to it using your smartphone. There is a dedicated app available for Android and iOS. It lets you change settings and watch videos, among other things.
Video quality
The SJDASH features an NTK96658 chipset, a 2MP sensor, and a f/2.0 lens. The dash cam records video at 1080p, out of the box, and there is no option to switch to a different resolution. This is the same as on other dash cams I have used. The bitrate for the videos is 15Mbps, which means that it will use around 6.6GB for an hour of video.
Since the dash cam is configured to run in a loop, it will automatically erase older videos as the microSD cards get full, however, so you do not have to worry about running out of space. I have used a 32GB Samsung Evo Plus microSD with it and it worked flawlessly. SJCAM says that you can go up to 64GB, though I suspect it will accept bigger cards just fine as well.
So, what is the video quality like? I have tested the SJDASH in different conditions -- during the day, at night, around sundown, in the city, and on faster roads -- and it has performed well overall. As you might expect, it works best when there is sufficient light. At night, the quality suffers a bit.
Video samples
The video samples that you see below have been uploaded to YouTube untouched. However, their quality may not reflect that of the original videos, as YouTube applies various algorithms when it processes the uploaded files.
Support
SJCAM sets a high bar when it comes to supporting. Its products get frequent firmware updates based on my experience, and the SJDASH is likely to be no different. At the time of writing this article, there no firmware updates available to download from the company's website.

The headset is a powerful 2.6 GHz Octa-Core processor at Mediatek Helio P25 for optimal processing speed. The capacity of RAM is 6 GB, which is really commendable, multitasking on a device with enough RAM is a joy.

Android 7.0 Nougat was pre-installed on Infinix Zero 5 as soon as it was released from the packaging on the company's XOS v3.0 skin, Infinix XOS is widely praised for being a soft, well-designed user interface. As a beacon, Zero 5 is likely to get the Android 8.0 Oreo update.

Infinix Zero 5 has two internal storage variants; 64 GB and 128 GB. If the user needs more storage space, the ROM can expand to 2 TB via an external SD card.

The Infinix Zero 5 dual rear camera configuration features a combination of 12 megapixels and 13 megapixels with an LED flash for quality photos in dark conditions. The company has an optical zoom feature in Zero 5 that says zooming in on something up to 10 times closer.

The front is a 16-megapixel camera with its own LED flash next to it, designed to deliver selfie-quality photos with the help of several pre-installed camera functions such as autofocus, motion detection face, phase detection, embellisher and so on.

Infinix Zero 5 does not disappoint with the advent of battery capacity, it has a compact battery 4350 mAh with a fast charge feature. This is a long-awaited update after Zero 4 has frustrated many Infinix fans by arriving at the 3200 Mah batteries.

The Zero 5 is completed with a metal monohull and a design a little astonishing but not very unique, we see a similar design with some Huawei headlights. Infinix Zero 5 is sold in three different colors; Gold colors, matte black and red apple.
The device has a fingerprint scanner placed behind the bottom of the camera area, in addition to serving as a more convenient phone unlocking system for Zero 5, the fingerprint scanner will also serve for more security for the device. The Infinix smartphone is a dual Micro SIM Android phone and supports dual standby with a 4G network option.

The price and availability of Infinix Zero 5

The price of Infinix Zero 5 in Nigeria reached 122,000 dealers for a volume of approximately 135,000 pounds, or about 310 USD, 10,999 Ksh in Kenya and Rs. 20,000 in India.

The device is available for purchase at various online and offline stores in India, Pakistan, Dubai, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and many other Asian and African countries. There are no more words to know if we will see the Infinix Zero 5 Plus soon.

Infinix Zero 5 Best alternative

Tecno Phantom 8 may be the best alternative to Infinix Zero 5, both with the same writing specifications with a small difference in the battery and screen sections. In addition, consider other flagship products with dual rear camera configuration such as Gionee M7 and Nokia 8.

Stick to Infinix? After reviewing notes 4 and 4 Pro, you can also consider Infinix Zero 4 and Zero 4 Plus if the alternative seems too expensive.

Would You Spend $1,000 on a Smartphone?

Would You Spend $1,000 on a Smartphone?
Apple is ready to launch the highly anticipated iPhone X.

Of course, the phone will have all the new features and its new look. It will take the device to a new level of appearance and performance.

The price can also bring the iPhone user to a new level. The tenth anniversary of Apple's phone costs more than one or more.

Some reports indicate that the phone will cost $ 999, where 64GB goes to $ 1099 with 256GB and starts at $ 1199 for a powerful 512GB device.

Even at the lowest level, the phone represents a huge increase of 40% to 50% over $ 649 for the basic model of the iPhone 7

By paying a premium, the iPhone is not new to many Apple fans. For example, those who purchased the iPhone 7 PLUS all droplets of water have already exceeded the four-digit threshold.

Apple is not alone in the new pricing strategy. In the coming weeks, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 plans to release. The tips for online chat, note 8, close or also exceed four digits.

Why Higher Prices? Competition among leading mobile phone operators is warming up.

Consumers need more features and manufacturers are willing to accept them for the price.

Innovations such as edge-to-edge OLED display, water resistance, iris analysis and two cameras are common. By adding to the enjoyment and performance of the phone, they are also more expensive in construction.

While the buzz for new phones creates a lot of interest, according to a recent article in USA Today, the price of mobile phone bonuses was actually flat or down, no more.

Gartner's research report quotes the newspaper. For the first quarter of 2017, the premium segment premium (premium smartphones) was $ 460, $ 482 compared to the same period last year.

The results of this report can be hidden as companies now pay phones that now create a small sticker. Previously, wireless operators have managed to pay off a low-subsidy phone. The price was generally associated with a two-year contractual obligation. Some things would cost $ 649, but they would be listed for $ 199.

Monthly down payment programs also contribute to deferring the cost of a new high-end device. Some will offer discounts when a new model is introduced.

Mobile operators want the phone to be in their hands and realize that they will have to rely on them for the mobile service.

Even at higher prices, many analysts expect the iPhone 8 to be in high demand. Such add-ons as the probability of using and recharging wireless will be accepted by Apple users.

The phone will also launch iOS 11, the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system, and will focus on augmented reality.

At the same conference, Apple should introduce the new 7s and 7s Plus. These phones may not all be "8", but probably a lower price than the 10th-anniversary model.

Those who want a new phone but can live without the features of the iPhone 8 must have a cheaper alternative with 7 lines.

Although the iPhone 8 promises to be another winner in many successful products for the Cupertino, California company. Apple users are accustomed to paying premiums for their products and their alignment in the herd, although the fork on the coins receives one.

Apple iPhone X has been launched with its all-screen OLED display design, Face ID Technology, Anomoji and more

iPhone X
Apple launched its new iPhone X, which has been described as "iPhone Ten - Smartphone Future". iPhone X comes with a large screen display and to ensure that Apple has killed the traditional physical button for the first time for the first time.

Apple's attraction was the iPhone X, which looks amazing with the glass behind, steel frames, a border at the edge display and nicer without the home button.

The Design

The biggest Voices of the iPhone X are its full-screen OLED design screen, even for the first time. The Apple iPhone X comes with a 5.8 inch Super Retina display and a curved glass on the top where you will find all the necessary sensors. Some new changes have been made as multi-tasking users who have to press down and hold for a second to view other executable applications.

Processor

Apple iPhone X is powered by Apple's newest Bionic A11 integrated circuit, an animal that has its own dedicated neural engine that makes Siri smart and equipped with 3GB Ram 64GB and 256GB internal memory. It also provides new AR experiences.

Camera

The Dual Lens camera comes in a pair of 12-inch wide-angle lenses with f / 1.8 aperture and another 12-megapixel camera with f / 2.2 aperture sensor. The Apple Portrait of the last year has become a portable lighting. This new feature will improve portrait photography with AI to get better results. The position of the dual camera really remembers the traffic lights, why should they protrude?

There is even more, the iPhone X's rear cameras can shoot video from 4K to 60fps and Slo-Mo video up to 240fps. Other features include panoramic images up to 63 megapixels, sapphire crystal glass cap, etc. The front is a 7-megapixel camera.

Face ID

What makes Apple different from the others is that they do not hesitate to change things, which ultimately need to change the future benefits of Apple users, they are not really afraid to reverse the coin and Face ID technology is the best example of it. The last time Apple condemned the 3.5mm audio jack, this time turning the fingerprint authentication system. iPhone X uses the ID instead. Face ID is the biometric approval mechanism based on face recognition. The Face ID sensor is located beneath the curved panel at the top of the display.

In Face ID, your face is your original password. Where is the front camera, a facial algorithmic image to authenticate and unlock the device quite quickly, can run at night or in the dark without problems Glass beard on everything you throw in your face expect a tough Bowling Pan Oouch surface! It's bad

LG G6 review: One step forward, two steps back

LG G6 Review
Much of the world has come to anticipate the LG G6, especially after the company has promised to abandon modules and create something truly innovative. Although all the LG hype has been building around the G6, it still does not feel totally even. Except for a refreshing project, it's the same as we've seen for years in the company. It's unfortunate, but it's true. However, this does not make the G6 is a "bad" choice.

So is this what the LG G6? Find out below.

In the mobile phone industry, competition is fierce. There are so many companies and brands that struggle to get into the hands of consumers. LG is, of course, one of these companies and was doing very well since it became very competitive with the LG G2. But with the G4, innovation slowed down and worsened with the G5. Since then, the company has lost sales targets and facing internal struggles. The LG G5 was a good cell phone but did not engage in modularity with consumers.

Now, LG is back with the G6, focusing on quality design and usability. Actually, they are concentrating on making this phone a prize as well. It has a glass body, aluminum frame, and curved edges. Putting it all together, the LG G6 is a bystander. The hope is that this capture with consumers much better than the G5, and the launch of the Galaxy S8, the company was hoping to beat Samsung to the game with an advantage.

Let's see how the G6 shows LG, right?

project
Needless to say, the LG G6 is one of the most beautiful devices ever. The company did very well here. The analysis unit we received came in a platinum color. It really stands out, and the rear window really does shine. LG is actually using Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for the rear window, making some bold statements:
"Corning Glass Gorilla 5 raises the bar for greater fall protection than ever before, surviving 1.6-meter drops on rough surfaces up to 80% of the time.In addition, while our toughened glass lid still-still offers resistance to damage, Optical clarity and tenderness Gorilla Glass® is famous for ".
It could be a seriously hard glass, but there is a big disadvantage in this glass design, and that's all imperfections you will receive. Let me tell you: It is very easily scratched. Even with just putting the phone on your back on a desk, the phone has some imperfections in the back. And really, that's just the nature of glass - it looks beautiful, it's a solid material, but it's easily scratched. They are probably less visible in the black variant of the phone, but more noticeable with white.

In addition, the LG G6 sports an aluminum frame and rounded corners. Aesthetically, they look great on the phone, but they do serve a practical use, too - better fall protection. Usually, when you have an advantage when the device is released, all of that power is centered at that point, thus increasing your chances of breaking the screen. But with curved edges as you drop the phone, the force extends over a larger area, reducing your chances of breaking and damaging the screen.

Around the back of the device, there is a fingerprint scanner, which also functions as the power button. Directly above that is your dual camera setup with LED flash. At the bottom of the phone, you have a speaker and USB-C port. And, despite the tendency to get rid of the 3.5mm audio jack, LG maintains G6; However, he is sitting on the phone.

On the sides of the device, all you have is the tray and volume buttons of the SIM card up / down.

The LG G6 really feels right at hand. It is slippery but still comfortable. Comfort in the hand was a concern for some because the device is much larger than most; However, it looks perfect, even with the use of one hand. It's not the lightest you hold any device, and that's a good thing - it's a very quality construction, it does not feel cheap at all. As for the placement of buttons, everything looks very natural. You have your normal volume buttons on the side, which are easy to access, without much work. Power button/fingerprint scanner is also in a nice place as is the area where the index finger resides while holding the phone, so it is also easy to access as well - it is a very comfortable experience.

Performance

The LG G6 has a 5.7 inch Quad HD + (2880 × 1440) IPS LCD with 564 pixels per inch. It has an interesting aspect ratio - 18: 9. It's something we have not seen a device like this before. Obviously, it does a little bit higher than the device, but as already mentioned, it still feels comfortable in your hand. The design is really amazing - there are a lot of screen of this device already very thin and low profile. It is not nearly as much as the Samsung Galaxy S8, but still, receives a 78.6% impressive ratio of the screen to the body.

LG G6 screen is one of the best in the industry at the moment. It's absolutely beautiful. Viewing angles are great on the phone, and adjusting the brightness levels, you can see and use the phone very well under direct sunlight. The text is clear and easy to read and the media is as clear as can be. It would be a challenge back to a lower quality screen after using the LG G6.
LG G6 performance package is quite impressive in performance. You get an 821 Snapdragon processor, 4GB of RAM and storage options of 32GB or 64GB. If you need more storage space, a microSD card to expand storage up to 256 GB of storage. The phone works well with multitasking. It can handle anything you throw at it. You are getting enough energy enough Snapdragon 821.

The performance package is a bit disappointing from the expectation point of view. For a banner carrier, you expect to see the latest and greatest hardware packaged inside. Instead of using the latest Snapdragon 835 processor for the phone, the LG G6 uses the technology last year. It's not much of a complaint - the Snapdragon 821 runs great - but when you consider that the Galaxy S8, an LG G6 phone is competing directly against, has the latest Snapdragon 825 which is a little disappointing and could be a deciding factor some Of the consumers.
There are many sensors and accessories that come with the phone, too - Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 4.2 (not Bluetooth 5.0, you), GPS, NFC, and then your accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, Compass, and barometer.

One of the most unfortunate areas of the LG G6 is the sound. In the United States, the creation of high-quality quad-DAC, which is unique to the country of origin of LG, Korea is not obtained. We had a Korean model for testing, but supposedly better than the sound of the LG G6 in the United States; However, the sound in the American model is not too bad, but the main complaint is that it is not very strong so it can be a struggle to hear some dialogues or lyrics depending on the type of media you are watching or listening to .

Battery

The battery is quite normal. You get a non-removable 3300mAh battery and like any other phone, you have a day of use of it. But when it comes down to it, it depends on how you use your phone. During my personal use, I still had a substantial amount of battery life left overnight, but I am not an advanced user. The battery is always one of those things where your mileage may vary.

On a WiFi connection, I stopped playing video at 720p until it died. It lasted about four hours so you can expect to get around that with the proper means but still it depends on the quality of the media and other things that happen on the bottom of your phone. There are a number of battery saving features that will help you keep the phone in place until you can put it on the cord.

Software

I've always felt that LG has nailed its software. There have always been some places where they could be improved, but for the most part, LG UX is a great interface. With the LG G6, there are some serious improvements in the interface, although you may not realize if you used the LG G5 or even the LG V20. The company also made some good improvements to bloatware - many applications really feel useful now. LG's added application to the G6 is an application that allows you to adjust the way other applications fit and scale with 18: 9 screen - there is little to be adjusted to achieve the most natural experience, however, do not feel the need to use It in everything. Applications look great on the screen, and that could be because Google has already been encouraging developers to provide support for 18: 9 screens.

It is worth noting that depending on whether you have a carrier model or not, there will be a lot of carrier bloatware included. So we should think about when to decide to buy a carrier or somewhere else. However, the software itself is extremely fast and responsive. There is little or no slowness here.

Much of the change comes in the design, especially when it comes to wallpapers and icons. Some new wallpaper really looks magnificent as they are designed to take advantage of the new 18: 9 screen on the LG G6.
What's good is that the phone comes with Android 7.0 Nougat, the latest version of Android. You will not be waiting for Nougat so much of the phones still out there. The great advantage is also that the LG G6 is one of the few phones to integrate Google Assistant as well. Google released compatible wizard devices, but it works like a dream in the LG G6.

Camera

The LG G6 comes with two 13MP cameras on the back. If you've ever used the LG G5 or LG V20, it's the same thing we saw. There is a difference between the megapixel LG G5 - it had a 16MP main camera and 8MP wide-angle lens. The G6 has a 13MP main camera and 13MP wide-angle sensor, but the quality wise is the same situation.

The quality is extremely disappointing. Unless you have absolutely perfect illumination, the images appear blurry/diffuse and almost have a grainy appearance. The front camera is even worse. It's a 5MP sensor, but it's extremely diffuse.

There are many who say the camera is great - but my experience has been different. Pictures are confusing and under exposure, even in perfect lighting. This is before and after trying to adjust the settings to improve the quality of the camera, but unfortunately just did not improve.
There are a lot of camera features that come with it - as usual, you would expect: panorama, filter options, wide-angle camera options and so on.
Together, for a standard bearer, it is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. This phone should be absolutely perfect or close to it, but there are still tons of room for improvement.

Closure

LG gets a few things right with the G6 - you get an absolutely stunning display and a masterful design, but let the ball fall into many other areas. It is assumed that this is the flagship phone of LG for the year, but it seems that LG just plays catch up. We have the same low-quality camera setup that dates back all the way up to the LG G5. There are some serious quality issues with it, none of which LG still addressed. Also get the latest Snapdragon 835 processor and the latest version of Bluetooth. Not only that, but the front of the camera is just awful - there's excuse for that.

These may seem like little things to choose from, but when the biggest competitor LG G6 looks - the Galaxy S8 - LG dropped the ball in a number of areas. The Galaxy S8 has all these things right, even though it took a little longer to launch this year.

So, should I get a G6 this year? It is entirely your preference, but there are plenty of areas where the Galaxy S8 already exceeds the LG G6. You are getting one of the most beautiful in the market exhibitions, but this is the same story for the Galaxy S8.
However, LG steps forward to get rid of the modules, but two steps back to not bring the best it could. Again, a year LG is to catch up.
