First Sony Xperia XZ Premium benchmark results show great promise

The Xperia XZ Premium is Sony’s first smartphone, equipped with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the same CPU that is the flagship of Samsung Galaxy and S8 Galaxy S8 +.

However, unlike the Samsung smartphone, the Xperia XZ premium is not available for purchase, however, it can be pre-ordered in many countries around the world. As we reported a few days ago, Sony Xperia XZ Premium is likely to make its debut in the market in late May or early June.

If you wonder how powerful the Xperia XZ premium is actually compared to other smartphones that work with Snapdragon 835, you’re in luck as the flagship Sony just appeared on Geekbench.

Apparently, someone tested the Xperia XZ Premium at Geekbench, and the results are quite promising. We do not know if it was commercial premises that were tested or a sample device.

Although it has not been able to beat the results achieved by Galaxy S8 and S8 +, the flagship of Sony is quite powerful. The smartphone 1943 points scored on a single core and 5824 points on the multi-core test.

In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S8 scored 2008 points in a single core and 6575 points in multi-core testing, while the Galaxy S8 + reached 2006 points and 6708 points respectively.

At first glance, the difference is almost insignificant when it comes to single-core testing, but multi-core testing shows that the Xperia XZ Premium is a little behind Samsung Flagship. Even so, we do not draw conclusions, however, at least not until they test a sales unit.
