Top Three Ways to Hide/Block Your Caller ID on an iPhone Temporarily or Permanently.

Ways to Hide/Block Your Caller ID on an iPhone
You can block caller ID from your iPhone for a single call, or (depending on which carrier you use), you can change your phone settings always to mask your phone number.

Some phones are programmed not to accept calls from blocked numbers; so learn how to disable caller ID blocking if you plan to start using it regularly.

There are many reasons why you can mask your iPhone number before making a call.

You might be trying to surprise a significant other, or you could try calling a company that prefers not to register your number to prevent future calls from getting in your way.

Whatever your reason for wanting to block caller ID on an iPhone, you have three different ways to do this, and each has distinct advantages and disadvantages.

How to block caller ID on an iPhone with * 67

The fastest way to block caller ID on your iPhone is to use the * 67 tricks, which are called "star six and seven" as a reference. This method has the benefit of being temporary, allowing you to block only single calls, but also requires entering a code before each call, which can take a long time.

  1. Open the iPhone Phone app.
  2.  Enter "* 67" and enter the rest of the number as usual.
  3.  Make the call.

And for registration, using * 67 is free. Contrary to common misconception, there is no charge for using this technique to block your call.

How to permanently block caller ID on an iPhone

If you want to block your number all the time, you can always change the settings to mask it.

That is unless your carrier is Verizon or Sprint. For iPhones with Verizon or Sprint as a carrier, the options detailed below are not available.

  1. Open the Settings app of your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down to the Phone tab and tap it.
  3. Tap the "Show my caller ID" tab.
  4.  Disable the "Show My Caller ID" button (turn white instead of green).

How to permanently block your iPhone's caller ID through your carrier

If you have a good reason why your caller ID is always blocked, maybe you are a private investigator or something, you can do so by contacting your service provider directly and requesting a change.

Contact your mobile provider and ask about the permanent caller ID blocking, but also check for additional charges for anonymity.
